Our Commitment
United Current is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to guarantee we provide equal access to all users.
Standards We Follow
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities, including:
- Visual impairments (blindness, low vision, color blindness)
- Hearing impairments
- Motor impairments
- Cognitive and learning disabilities
Measures We Take
United Current takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy
- ARIA labels and roles where native HTML semantics are insufficient
- Keyboard navigation support across all interactive elements
- Sufficient color contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text)
- Responsive design that works across devices and screen sizes
- Form inputs with associated labels and clear error messaging
- Focus indicators on all interactive elements
- Reduced-motion support via
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query
Known Limitations
While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, some areas of our site may not yet be fully accessible. We are actively working to identify and resolve any issues. Known areas under improvement include:
- Some SVG animations may not fully respect reduced-motion preferences in all browsers
- Older PDF documents may not be fully screen-reader accessible
